How does one make a moment last forever? How does one draw our attention once again to the things that we want to remember; and perhaps, hold on to things that we may have wanted to forget? These questions around memory and exploration are what I seek to answer in my continued practice of photography.

I work with the existing light to demonstrate these moments as contemplative stillness. To invite a moment of calm contemplation, and an opportunity to be reintroduced to a mundane place anew. My subject matter is wherever I find myself to me, whether that is home, the communities that I am placed, or somewhere else entirely.

Come lay with me (here) as we chase the sun, explore home, rest, comfort, and stillness as a way of being.

This project seeks to uncover the connection between our personally constructed spaces and the naturally placed environment through photographs of nature that highlights the sun in thoughtful ways and invites rest and pause.. Come lay with me (here) as we chase the sun puts  into  place an immersive installation experience born of photographs and memories already created.

palate cleanse | moving photography

Palate Cleanse is an exploration in what it looks like to watch how beautiful a space becomes the longer that you look at it. These longer format videos are staged in places that are often disregarded in our constant movement--looking up the trees, waiting for the bus, or even, the stillness of a home that is settled. It is meant to be a visual refresh  as they are posted in social media platforms, as an invitation to pause and seek out these very still moments in their own life.

Capturing the beauty found in the mundane, No headphones on with an iced coffee is a photographic body of work that is born out of a practice that’s rooted in stewarding both silence and a deep awareness of place. Each of the eighteen images highlights every day encounters experienced by the artist, and holds its own day's journey; one found in continued stumblings and perfect moments.

An early morning at the nearby coffeeshop. A walk in the evening. The view of the sunrise on my neighbor’s house from my sunroom. A pleasant walk to  the neighborhood bakery after church. The flowers when the sun begins to shine after a storm. And even the wrong turn that led to something beautiful and unforgettable.

Even as the work, being documented between 2024 and 2026, were taken across various locations, each image was carefully chosen during times of extreme sensitivity to the environment and a silent moment found both within and without
